Hey! I’m Paola, a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Calgary. I’m originally from Mexico but moved to Canada in pursuit of an engineering degree. After multiple pivots in STEM, I ended up with a diploma in Photojournalism from SAIT and I am SO glad for the way things worked out, because now I absolutely love what I do.
I first fell in love with photography when I was fifteen. An avid Tumblr and Pinterest girlie who’s always loved to romanticize life, I would always steal my parent’s point-and-shoot and just take pictures of anything and everything! Now I am passionate about capturing your special moments in a way that feels candid and authentic.

When I’m not capturing stories through my lens, you can find me working out of a cute coffee shop, hanging out with my dog Mango, exploring new restaurants with my love or getting immersed in a romantasy novel (where my bookish girlies at?!). I’m also a dance instructor at a local studio and love hitting up yoga classes around the city. I consider myself an extroverted homebody and I’m always down for a good wine and charcuterie night at home.
MY PHILOSOPHY
As your photographer, I will focus on capturing you, authentically and honestly. My background and training in journalism allows me to expect the unexpected and use my camera with integrity and intention, every single time. I will make sure to create a safe space in front of my lens to document all sorts of humans and their life + love stories as unique as they are.
