I have a confession… When I moved to Calgary, well first of all I moved here to study engineering (look where that got me LOL) but I also picked Calgary due to it’s proximity to the mountains. When I bought my first camera, I did it with the mountains in mind. Thinking I would be a weekend warrior and capture scenic mountain shots for socials. And when I pivoted to weddings, I thought I was going to be one of those epic mountain adventure elopement photographers.

As I am going into my third year photographing weddings, I can tell you that only about 10% of my weddings and sessions have been in the mountains, and to be honest? I am so glad haha. I’ve finally come to terms that I am a city girl and a city photographer through and through, and this chilly February session on Stephen Avenue in Downtown Calgary just really reminded me of why that is.

M&B are just the absolute cutest and I had so much fun running around downtown with them for their engagement session. I cannot wait for their wedding this summer (in the city, of course haha).
