Back in April I was lucky enough to drive up to Edmonton and meet up with the incredible Carissa Marie Photography for a lil full day mentorship session. After a lengthy coffee shop chat about intentional storytelling and business practices, we met up with Kat & Chase, who were gracious enough to invite us into their home so I could get some hands-on training with Carissa <3

We spent the afternoon with them just capturing authentic home-y moments while they moved through their day, along with their adorable dog Whitney. As it turns out, Kat had just found out she was pregnant and my mentorship session doubled as an adorable pregnancy announcement shoot for the two of them!

I am forever grateful for Carissa and her endless wisdom when it comes to intentional photography, and to Kat & Chase (and Whitney!) for letting us in their space and providing an opportunity for me to learn while also being so so sweet and so adorable!
