When it comes to engagement sessions, I am constantly telling my couples to plan around an activity rather than a location. Picking something you both love to do and that is even meaningful can take lots of pressure off of posing and help us focus on the fun aspect of the shoot!

For Madeline and Smash, grabbing some ice cream from Lics Ice Cream Shop and taking a stroll down their neighbourhood is a usual occurrence, so when it came to planning out their engagement session, this was a no-brainer. It was cute and wholesome and the perfect summer day. We even ended the session at their home, so we could include the neighbourhood kitties and their own cat, Bowie.
