I am a huge fan of elopements. It’s the perfect way to make your special day entirely yours and spend some intentional time with each other and celebrate your love your way.

However, I often hear elopements leave for a desire to be surrounded by certain loved ones that couldn’t be around for that day. When K&M decided to elope in Malta, their plan was always to return to their home in Calgary to celebrate with their closest friends and family.

I was honoured to have captured the cutest most intimate backyard wedding, where K&M surprised their family with a ceremony to legalize their marriage in Canada and celebrate their love, followed by a delicious dinner at Vendome Cafe. These are some of my favourite snaps of the day.
