As a trained photojournalist, it is not always my instinct to go for the planned, the styled, and the posed. I find I thrive much more under the authentic day to day, but as I venture deeper into wedding photography, I feel this responsibility to be prepared to tackle any scenario my clients propose.

For this reason, I was drawn to attend True To Hue’s Fuchsia Shootout at Eighty Eight Brewing Co. With direction from Kelsey Vera, beautiful styling by Rebekah Bronte, stunning florals from Hen & Chicks and delicious pizza from Portland Street Pizza, the vibes were actually immaculate.

It have me the chance to really hone in on those on-camera flash skills and created a safe space for me to practice and explore so I can absolutely CRUSH it on any of my night sessions from now on.

So thankful for the wonderful team that put this together. I am actually in love with the results.
