Capturing life’s special moments is really what I am here for. I always get so much joy when I hear from someone that they would like me to document a milestone in their life. It is an honour I do not take lightly.

I wasn’t always quick to embrace this though. Finishing school after having switched degrees 6 times, things felt pretty confusing leading up to graduation. I felt a fork in the road (more like 5 forks bc it felt like my life at that point could go a million different ways) and so I asked the universe for a sign.

That same day, Vivian, one of my colleagues, prefaced our meeting with “we don’t need to be having this meeting. I’m taking some time off. I am pregnant and I want you to be the photographer.” She then proceeded to speak so highly of my work and how she felt about it. It really tugged on my heart strings.

All I ever wanted was to make a difference in the world. The way she spoke about my work made me realize that I can do just that with a camera in my hand, immortalizing important moments in someone’s life.

Finally getting to shoot Vivian and Massi’s maternity session, having shot a few weddings, engagements, and portraits in between, felt like a full circle moment, and I am in love with the results.
